Wild Alaska Cruises is a licensed Alaska Big Game Transporter. For a real "walk on the Wild Side", self-guided black bear hunts are in the heart of the best black bear country in the world. You will be provided the same hospitality, transportation, food and lodging as regular guided fishing guests, but you are in charge of the hunting. Included in the combo package is all the fully guided fishing you can handle. You’ll fish the calm and sheltered waters of Frederick Sound, Stephens Passage and Chatham Straight. The diversity of fish and shellfish in this productive oceanic near-shore environment is fantastic. Pursue the five species of Pacific salmon, Pacific halibut, Lingcod and a variety of rockfish. Rainbow, cutthroat, brook trout, Dolly Varden and Steelhead are also seasonally available in fresh water. Dungeness crab, spot prawns and clams are among some of the favorite quarries.
Since Wild Alaska is able to reposition the yacht, each day offers new and exciting fishing opportunities. Because they’re mobile, they follow the fish to keep you on the fish! Alaska weather is unpredictable, but expect temperatures from 50 to70 degrees with occasional showers. View glaciers, humpback and killer whales, sea lions and bears while enjoying the best fishing in Alaska. Have a hot breakfast, soup and sandwich for lunch, then feast on a dinner of fresh seafood. This is your Alaskan adventure and Executive Chef Joshua Young will focus on providing the freshest Alaskan menu possible.
A hearty breakfast starts the day - waffles and pancakes topped with local berries and fruits or your choice of hot or cold cereal, traditional egg dishes, bacon or sausages.
Hot coffee, tea, juice and milk help fortify you for a full day of outdoor fun or fishing.
Usually, you’ll be out on the water during lunch and Wild Alaska prepares a delightfull box lunch for you as per your request.
Add a cup of soup, chips, crackers, fruit and dessert treats to keep you energized while fighting the big ones!
If you like Alaskan seafood you’ll love the evening meal! Fresh from the ocean, usually caught the same day, Wild Alaska spoils you with delicacies like broiled salmon, baked halibut, steamed prawns, crab and clams. Or enjoy an occasional specialty from the turf - grilled steaks, chops, chicken and pasta to satisfy every appetite.

Accommodations
The Perseverance is equipped with four spacious guest state room suites, each with its own private, full size en suite bathroom and shower. Comfortable queen beds for couples or twin full-size berths for singles. An overhead berth accommodates a third person in the queen suites.

Each Day: Hunting and Fishing Each day you decide to either hunt or fish. Wild Alaska provides you transportation for your hunt or board all weather boats with an experienced USCG-licensed guide for full day of fishing.
Don’t worry about getting seasick - the sheltered waters of the inside passage seldom become unruly and the norm is to fish on calm or glassy water. Even if the wind does blow, Wild Alaska is always able to find sheltered water.
Since the yacht is the lodge, you are mobile. That’s right... you follow the fish! You aren't tied to any specific location. No waiting for the fish to run near, or racing to the “hotspots” to beat other lodge boats to the fish. Seldom do you have to run far from your floating home to find fish, but more importanly, seldom do you fish near other boats!
This gives Wild Alaska and their guests enormous flexibility in choosing when and where to fish. Think of the time you save. More time to spend fishing or experiencing the beauty of the local wildlife.
Typically, the mother ship relocates each day to a new and secluded moorage while you are out fishing. Later that day, you return to the Perseverance to clean and process the day’s catch. Although Wild Alaska is conservation minded and promotes catch-and-release whenever you choose, the crew will clean, process, vacuum pack and freeze the fish you choose to take back home.
Frozen fish are packed in airline approved wet lock boxes for your flight.
Snap a few pictures of the days “trophies” then feel free to relax, have a cool drink and a delightful dinner. Evenings are reserved for you to rest, explore or fish even more on your own aboard one Wild Alaska's comfortable skiffs.
